WTF????

So ... I am sure you've all had your fair share of parties to attend this holiday season. My Last one was last night.

I didn't really want to go but it had been a while since we've seen this friend of Bob's and his family so I thought it would be nice to take some time out of our sched to visit with them and their friends.

It came about in a stupid FB msg. The wife was asking if I was going to RSVP for the party or not, because she needed to know how much food to shop for. I said that we'd be joining them and politely offered to bring something if needed.

She asked me to bring desert stuff.

At this point after that convo, I figured that there was going to be food at the party. I am sure that assumption wasn't overboard. The woman wanted us confirm our RSVP so that there would be enough FOOD for every one.

Why am I always surprised????

On the way to the party the Bobby, Pedro and I picked up a Cake for desert. (Not just any cake, a Raspberry Chocolate Cake... $27.00 worth of awesome cake.)

We get to the party, and Food consisted of Snacks.

Why?

Seriously. What kind of fuckery is that?

Snacks: Some Sausage Rolls, Some Meatballs, Cheese dip, Chips and Spinach Dip with Vegies. I am not even remotely kidding you.

If you are putting out SNACKS then don't tell people that you will be making FOOD, and to Bring Desert.

Say I am making appetizers or finger foods, could you bring fingerfood like deserts?

That would prepare me for the fact that I would not be eating and to eat before hand. Also it would let me know not to BLOW the money on a Cake for DESERT if we're not eating Dinner.

SERIOUSLY.

Is it just me?

Really?

If it is I'll understand.

NO NO I WONT! GIVE YOUR FUCKING HEADS A SHAKE PEOPLE! Have some fucking class, and state the situation as it is.

Fucking white trash mofo.

ARG!

So mad.

I'm In Love!

So Pedro ordered one of these Noel Collection Metalic Series hard mirrored Cases.
He ordered the Royal Blue color. We have been anticipating its arrival. To tell you the truth I wasn't sure it would look that awesome. Then Pedro came to visit, new case in hand, and both Lise and I fell in love.
It offers full protection for the phone. There are openings across the top, bottom and side for access to all ports and buttons. I think those openings would be the achiles heel for this case, because god forbid I ever drop my iPhone that would be the exact spot it would land. :
The top is mirrored so if in a brightly light room there is some reflection, but seriously, this case is all about the form and a smidge less about the function. It is sexy. It will protect the phone, it will get people asking you what the hell it is, and more importantly where you got it.
I want one.
Maybe next paycheque.
Good Choice Pedro.
Now to see what Lise's new cases look like.

My New Phone...

...That's right, my Christmas Present to myself, albeit late was the 16gb, 3g iPhone in white.
I chose the white because it looks kinda sassy.

I posted about the trouble I had to go through to get it a few days ago. I have to say it was incredibly worth it.

The applications available through the AppStore to use with the iPhoone have made my day more than once.
From applications that let you see real time traffic cameras, and weather conditions, to games to keep you sharp.
This is going to go down as one of the best purchases I have made in a while.

My next step is to find a way to get one for the Bobby. :D I love him so much and I think he wants one too. I can tell when he looks at mine. He is now the proud owner of a 32 gb iPood touch, but it's not the same.

I think I might be hacking it at the end of this week. I haven't decided yet. I'll keep you guys apprised.
Again thanks to Lise.

2008 Meh...

... No really.

I don't know why it is that every new year we think things are going to get better. Honestly why do we set our selves up for that kind of disappointment?

I think that 2007 was probably one of the best years I've had ever.

Don't get me wrong there were a lot of good things that came with 2008.

The Condo is one of them I guess. I am glad that Bob and I took that step but on the other hand there are days that I think that could have been our worst decision.

Frankly there have been a lot of ups and downs but the over all consensus with regards to the past year is MEH!

There haven't been any serious ups. Or Ups that would be considered to make your year.

Countless Job Interviews.

No new position.

Poor Bobby's stuck at that stupid company and they haven't given him any guaranteed hours.

They're starting to treat him like shit there now too. they do it to all their employees.

Money has consistently been an issue, and continues to be.

I've never had so many trips to speak to the branch manager at my bank in my life. EVER. Most if not all of these trips consist of me crying due to some error made by a teller.

All my friends have been going through some of the worst crap I could imagine except for one. Nadine somehow manages to find her way above all the crap. God bless her.

Meh... to you 2008.

Let's see what happens in 09.

Traditional Greek New Years Fare.

This is a VASILOPITA it's a cake that every Greek household makes and in it somewhere is hidden a coin. The cake is cut and 3 pieces are removed for various reasons. The cake is then served to the family and guests.

I had like 4 or 5 slices of this cake in less than 24 hrs. New Years Eve, and New Years day... I still feel fat.
