Some Pictures

It's been a while since I've last posted. I'm working on getting some interesting life content up, and it won't likely be ready for a while. In the place of a blog post I'd like to share some pictures.
Enjoy.

The Best Afternoon Evar :)

Spring cleaning, sunshine, balcony, family and a BBQ! These are the lovely things that I got to enjoy today.
Bobby and I have cleaned the balcony, and the patio furniture, we put up our solar powered patio lights, and we even got to enjoy them for a while!
We cleaned the house and then went to my parents home for a BBQ, really could this day get any better? Well yes it could. Our solar powered lights are working! How awesome!

I love days like today, although there was a lot of work, the pay off was above and beyond my expectations. Just need to be thankful. :)

Woot!

My Happiness

I'm sure I've blogged about Sumo or mentioned him in at least one blog post.
Roughly a year ago Bobby and I really started to contemplate getting a dog. Bobby has always been partial to the English bulldog breed. I knew that we didn't have the time or the energy to start with a puppy, and thanks to my fired Liz who used to work at THS I am more than aware of how many adult dogs need homes.
Bobby had never had any pets and I knew he wouldn't be prepared for the amount of work an animal requires. I thought I would seek out a rescue organization that may have a bulldog available for foster. Lucky me I found a breed specific rescue that was willing to let us be foster parents. That's how Sumo came into our lives.
Not too long after I came to the realization that I would not be able to give him up. I was broken hearted at the thought of returning him to the rescue. Bobby and I knew we would have to adopt him, so we did and we've been a family ever since.
Our one year adoption anniversary is approaching as is Sumo's fifth birthday. I couldn't imagine what our life would be like with out him. I love him more everyday, and hope to help him over come the rest of his doggie issues.

Dear Sumo,
You are my happiness. Happy anniversary buddy!

TASSIMO! IS AWESSIMO!

I'm such a nerd.
I'm not even gonna try to lie, I AM ADDICTED to Starbucks coffee. Between the Bob and I, we spend nearly $450.00 per month at the above noted coffee shop... I know right... WHAT?
It's true.

We figured it would be best to just find a machine that could make espresso, and cappuccinos so we could save some money.
Then the thought of waking up at 5:30 am and making espresso made me shutter, the decision was made to find a machine that is automatic and could make specialty coffees.

In comes this Tassimo thingy.

I asked my mom about it and she said she'd heard alot of good things about it.
So off Bob and I went to find one.
Low and behold Home Outfitters had a crap load of them. I called my mom once more to see if she had heard of a better price. (Home Outfitters was selling them from 122-189 or something like that) My mom said Zellers was selling them for 99.99! Guess where Bob and I ended up?
That's right, and frankly I'm soo happy for it....
I purchased some t discs from H.O., and then some caramel from Metro and woooooooooie, I've something close to caramel macchiatos.
I'm quite satisfied.

I've already used it like 4 times between yesterday and today.
lol
Coffee is going to cost closer to $2.00 than $5.20.
(that's if I always purchase the Starbucks cappuccino packages of t discs and caramel) Still better than 5.20...

Love it. I say if you're thinking about it Buy it. You won't regret it.

The Bob.

The Bob has been without a cell phone for a long time, he's been going bonkers. In fact I've been going bonkers listening to him complain.
A new phone wasn't exactly something we could afford straight away especially not a new Blackberry or iPhone.

I know that there are used and refurbished phones out there so I started making some calls, and low and behold I found a slightly used iPhone. (8gig 3g)
Can you guess the price?
$49.00!
You heard right...

I had stopped into the Fido store at Scarborough Town Center and asked if they had any used or refurbished phones on the premises (every store does the inventory varies)
and low and behold they had 1 iPhone.
They wouldn't sell it to us with out a contract but that's ok, I knew I would be getting into another contract, and I was ok with that.

Now that The Bob has his iPhone he won't leave me alone!
lol
That's what you get for trying to be nice.

One day I'll get into the whole ordeal that lead to getting a month free services for his line in a different blog post (assuming I can work up the energy)

The Bob is now part of the Darkside :D Brought him over from Blackberry, and to think he thought that would be impossible.

Night.

In Sickness & In Health...

Saturday night the Bob and I had planned to celebrate our 2nd wedding anniversary. I think we were going to do the quiet at home dinner just the 2 of us.
Instead we got to spend it in Toronto East Generals Emergency Department with a ton of strangers. Sigh.

Things have been a little tight around here, so I figured I won't put any pressure on Bobby to buy gifts or take me out for an expensive dinner (even if I'm STILL craving steak). It was going to be a perfect evening and maybe we'd get a drive in.

Unfortunately someone up there had some other divine design... Bob became so totally ill I had to rush him to the hospital.

I felt so bad for him. He was so incredibly sad and grumpy and a great big sick child.

Bobby has gout.
He had an attack that began a week ago.
He didn't have any meds for his attack until half way through the week.
The emergency anti-inflammatory gout meds started to make bobby feel more ill almost immediately.
It began with one bout of diarrhea, then it slowly began to affect him every time he took the emergency anti-inflammatory (every two hours). It was horrible. I took a trip to the pharmacy to see if there's something I could get for him and what I should be doing to help relieve his pain. When I explained the situation to the pharmasist and he told me straight out "take him to the hospital right away!"

So... Off to the emerg we go.
I felt so bad for him.
He hates needles.
They had to put in an iv and he looked at me like I was the most evil person on the face of the planet. he was looking up at me with these big puppy dog eyes, and he was so cute, I felt so bad for him.
It's always the big burly guys that are afraid of needles. :D
We were at the Hospital until 3am.
Got home at 3:30, and I couldn't fall asleep until 5am...
I was so worried about him.

Any how. He's better now, and I'm glad that the ordeal is over.

No... we didn't get to celebrate our anniversary in the traditional sense but, we spent time together as a couple...
Like we would in the future as we grow older, through sickness and health.

Happy Anniversary Bobby. I love you & I'm sorry you were ill.

Picture of Chicken Corn Soup We Made

MMMM... It was sooo good. Thanks Lisa for the picture.
Call you later.

CHICKEN CORN SOUP.

Lise came over last night and we made Chicken Corn soup.
We made a pot full of it, and all that ws left this morning was just enough for a side dish for bobs lunch.
I had to make a sandwich for him too!
Any how... the soup was REALLY GOOD!
Now my sister in law wants me to make it every week end. (I don't know about that).
I swear we were gluttons last night we all had more than one bowl full!
I thought I had made enough for an army, but we were all hungry and it tasted so good.

SO thanks to Lise, for showing me how to make on of my Hubby's favourite soups.
(mine too)
I think lisa will send a picture for me to post soon.
Check you all later!

Who am I?

This is me...
I started riding a while back. I was a tom boy as a child, and loved trucks, and bikes and all the things all little boys loved.
I had transformers, and was totally interested in technology.

It was a natural progression. I liked fast cars, and then found things that could go faster and were cheaper. MOTORCYCLES! I dated guys who rode. It was nice, but being a control freak I really wanted to be the one at the controls. Eventually my friend Liz and I got our licenses. We rode together almost all the time. Liz and I have some pretty funny, and scary stories from those crazy nights out. When we started riding there were only a few other girls out there that rode. Even fewer that rode well. (not saying I'm awesome or anything) I remember Liz's first bike...
She called it Smartie. It was a blue Honda CB1 (400 cc) If I were to describe it I would say the bike was closer to a standard than a sport touring bike. My first bike was a Yamaha Fzr 600. (1989 i think) For the longest time we were the only two girls that would ride all over the City.
Liz's second bike was this awesome Yamaha YZF 750sp (sp stands for Solo Pilot) It was this neat forest green colour.

I loved those days. Nothing made me happier than getting my gear on and getting out there. As soon as the snow melted in the spring I was out there. I rode some years until December... (long johns, balaclava and little gloves under all my other gear kept me warm)

I guess I was kinda hard core in that sense. I would ride at any cost. Hot or cold it didn't make a difference.
I rode when I was sad and it made me happy, I rode when I had to think about stuff, and I felt better and came to decisions, I rode when I was bored and found friends and excitement.
Long rides, short rides, I rode to work, and to meet for coffee. I rode to the mall, and to the dentist... :D

It was all I could think about. After the accident, I got back into it as soon as I could. There's a great story there. I tell you about it some other time.
When my last bike was stolen I hadn't done my M exit yet, and my license expired. Now I am JUST A G DRIVER. ARG...
I want to go back, and get my M Lic. back. I guess I'll have to wait untill next year. Meh.

I like to have a good time with my friends. Especially when it's a birthday party for Moi at Rocky Mountain High... I can be a goofy broad sometimes. I think this picture demonstrates some of my goofyness.
There are tones of these pictures scattered all over the internet thanks to Lise.
Especially the ones from Niagara Falls that lisa loves to share with the whole world. Good times ...
I remember jumping on the bed.

Then I remember laughing my ass off... Can you tell what happened? I swear... It was all good until I heard this THUD... Lise had hit her freaking head on the ceiling. I am not a good friend. I laughed... I laughed hard. (thanks Cess for the photo evidence!) Now that I look at those pictures I can't believe I never noticed Lise Holding her boobs. lol.

I love my BIG ASS TRUCK! I drive a Yukon Denali xl. I bought it because I work in the event coordination field and can can carry all kinds of stuff for clients. I am used to getting looks from people when I rode all the time, I still get them now it's because I look so small in my vehicle.

My husband and I owned a tow truck. We recently sold it. my husband worked it for years. He was sick of the bullshit in the industry, so we got him a 9-5. He likes it better, and he's not nearly as stressed out any more. Mind you he took a pay cut, but I prefer that he's healthy, so far we're making ends meet.
I like my men to look mean, but be the biggest sweethearts. I think every one should have a "Bob"
There have got to be a tone of pictures of Bob giving people the finger.

I guess that's enough about me for the next little while.

Ciao.
